I'm not sure how to address your query, but I just wanted to say that I find it amazing that people are still on the waitlist for Fall 2010. I don't think that's fair at all for them to prolong the situation. But that's just me. I have a friend who is still on the waitlist for Tuck. Classes start soon!gkumar wrote:I'm a waitlister from the 2010 Stern app. Although I still have hopes in getting off the waitlist anytime before September, what's the best strategy in handling the waitlist and reapp?
Will doing a reapp affect waitlist chances? This is an odd situation where one could be a waitlister and a reapp at the same time (if submitted early enough).

Agreed. But I can only worry about things within my control. So I'm in for Round 1!money9111 wrote:I'm not sure how to address your query, but I just wanted to say that I find it amazing that people are still on the waitlist for Fall 2010. I'm applying for round 1. I've been obsessing for the past several months and I'm quite confident about the application requirements I've done thus far.

Simply checking on on everyone to see how apps are going. Has anyone decided to apply in a later round?

Hi, all. I applied R2 right before the deadline (Jan. 10 or so). No word yet! I visited twice, once for a women's MBA event and once to do the tour/class visit; I really liked the students, alumni and professors I met and was very impressed with the Kaufman Management Center.
Profile:
31 y/o white female, 9 years work experience in journalism
GMAT: 740 (44 Q/47 V/6.0 AWA)
GPA: 3.58 at University of Colorado at Boulder, film studies degree, 4 semesters on Dean's List, honors courses
I'm definitely an unconventional applicant, and I have no idea what's going to happen. I will update if I hear anything! Good luck to everyone else who's applying!

I got dinged on Jan. 21. I suspect it was because my GMAT was lower than average (640) but also because Stern slipped in the rankings quite a bit, and I'm sure they're eager to raise their mean GMAT score to reclaim top-10 status. At least, that's what I like to think.

I applied Round 2 on the day of the deadline (Jan 15th.) and so far have only heard that they received my application and it is "being presented to the Admissions Committee for review"
27 y.o female
720 GMAT
5 years work experience in film production
3.6 GPA from Public University (the program I attended is #4 film program in the country)
Sent in a creative Essay #3
Recommendation from "famous" director
I did everything I could to make sure I was a standout applicant. Traveled to NY to visit the campus, talked with students and professors. Sister is an alumni.
...now I wait... I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

Hey guys!
I applied Round 2 but via Consortium on Jan 5. All I've gotten so far was an email from NYU saying interviews will be sent out shortly, notification deadline: April 1 but my guess is Consortium applications will be notified before the big March 1st meeting where they hand out scholarships. -sigh-
Good luck everyone!

Has anybody applied for the Part-time program? I do not believe there are different rounds of applications, all part-time applications will be reviewed after the deadline. Am I correct?
