First of all, I would recommend not to drink at all before AND during the exam!
I did not drink before the exam, but I drank a little bit of water during the second break. The water went directly into my bladder, so I had to go to the restrooms during the verbal section, and it made me lose at least 2 minutes.
Before the exam, I ate a banana and a few cereal biscuits like every morning: it was easy to digest and I felt fine.

I advise that you do what you would usually do. So, if you usually don't eat breakfast, don't eat breakfast on test day. If you usually drink 3 cups of coffee in the morning (like me!), don't skip the coffee on test day.
Personally, I like a peanut butter and banana sandwich during the break. It's an Elvis Presley favorite!
I second the advice about not drinking too much before/during the exam. I've had students report lots of stress in the verbal section because they had to pee!

I agree with the advice that you should stick to your usual schedule and eating behaviors; test day is not the time to try something new! Beyond that, it's good to have something with some protein to keep your blood sugar levels fairly steady. And yes, you can only eat/drink on your breaks, which are quick, so keep that in mind.
Good luck!!

I went with dark chocolate and almonds (protein like someone said before) for both breaks. Added a banana during the second break.
