Is a+b>0?
1) The point (a,b) is in Quadrant II

If (a,b) = (-8,2), then a+b < 0.
If (a,b) = (-2,6), then a+b > 0.
2) lal - lbl>0 absolute value
If (a,b) = (8,2), then lal - lbl>0 BUT a + b < 0
If (a,b) = (-8,2), then lal - lbl>0 and a + b > 0
From 1 + 2
a is negative and b is positive
The absolute value of a is greater than absolute value of b. So,a+b is always negative.
