Hi there,

I think I generally see "concerned" show up with either "with" or "about/by/for". The only important semantic distinction, I think, is that "concerned with" means "interested in" whereas the other three convey a sense of worry.

For instance,

The researchers are concerned with discovering ancient forms of writing.
The researchers concerned themselves with digging up artifacts.
Attached is a series of essays concerned with trends in medieval literature.

but

I am concerned about your decision to drop out of school.
I am concerned by the recent outbreak of crime in the neighborhood.
I can't help but feel concerned for you; you're never sleeping these days.
