Hi,
I want to apply for next year's autumn intake (round 1 application) and would like to hear your opinion about:
1) my chances at: HBS, LSB, Wharton, Columbia, NY Stern
2) my choice of recommenders (see below: recommender's rank vs. cultural diversity of recommenders)
Basic info
Age: 27
Gender: Male
GMAT 720 (Q49,V40, AWA 5.0)
Educational Background
- GPA: 4.0
- [edited]
Work Experience
In total 4 years working experience at application date:
since 2007: Three years China experience, working in the finance department of [edited]
Extra curricular
2009: Financial consulting for [edited]
As the consulting project took up nearly all of my time, I don't have any other special activities. Before the project, I used to [edited]
Post MBA goal - in short
short term: Career switch --> Banking
long term: [edited]
Recommendations
1: Current Supervisor
2: External recommendation from CEO of client
3: as HBS requires three recommendations I am currently thinking about whether to choose
a) my current CFO (supervisor of my boss) or
b) another manager from my company (different department/team)
Regarding the third choice, I currently prefer option b), since [edited], he would contribute to a more deversified picture, what do you think?
With both, I maintain close working relationships and I think both could provide strong recommendations.
Thanks a lot already in advance!
