New Jersey’s is one of the five highest number of reported cases of Lyme disease in the United States.
(A) New Jersey’s is one of the five highest number of reported
(B) New Jersey’s is one of the five highest numbers in reporting
(C) New Jersey has a report of one of the five highest numbers of
(D) New Jersey has one of the five highest numbers of reported
(E) New Jersey reports one of the five highest number of

What is the OA as per you? This is from a old Paper based test and the answer is contrary to what I expected.

Option A and B has New Jerseys's which i thought was wrong
Option C and D have "numbers of" in their construction .."numbers of" is simply incorrect according to Manhattan SC guide ..
So by elimination i thought E remains

There you go vignesh.

I killed C D as they have the ominous numbers of as per MGMAT SC

How ever the OA is D. I picked E as well. I also felt that E changes the original meaning of the sentence. E is saying that NJ reports, there might be some one who is not reporting??

This is from a Paper based test.

we really need to have an MGMAT expert speak about this Q.

'one of the Five highest numbers' rather I discarded A and E because 's' was missing in Number.... 'one out of.... Five highest----there are five numbers out of which we are considering here.... so for addressing them, we should use Numbers.. (as there are 5)

then out of B,C,D B din make sense.... C changed th meaning and still was not tht clear..

Hi Sulab,

"Numbers of" is neither singlular nor plural. It is simply wrong .. thats what i read ..
