Hello All,
First a little background, I took GMAT round 1 on 05/01/10 and scored a 460:
Verbal: 27 / 42%
Quantitative: 26 /18%
Total: 460 / 24%
Analytical Writing: 4.5 / 37%
I need something around 500 - 560. I've registered to take GMAT round 2 on July 3rd (the latest my B-school will let me take it for fall admissions) so I have about a month left (and I'm getting nervous again!!!)
I purchased the MGMAT Quant. set a couple of weeks ago and had been reviewing the larger Quant. Fundamentals books the last week or so. I was doing well on the book, but it was very time consuming, so I've transitioned over the Numbers Properties and am about half way through in about 5-6 days, am on Ch. 6 as of today. I've been taking notes and doing the Problem sets at the end of each chapter and doing well on them. The downside of taking notes is that it's VERY time consuming.
Here's what I haven't been done since taking round 1 (and why I'm probably getting nervous again):
- Haven't taken another practice exam
- Have done at any Quant. Problems in either the 12th Edition or Green Quant. Book that came with the MGMAT set.
- Haven't done any verbal stuff since I did decent on the Verbal section of the exam.
I've been spending 2-3 hours on the weekdays and 6-8 hours a day on weekends studying the math stuff, so it's not that I haven't been studying. I think I'm just not studying the right way.
Sorry for the long post, I'm just getting really nervous again. I know I have time, 31 days and counting, but I want to use
it as wisely as possible. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
P
