The OA is B, as was indicated in an earlier post.

C, D, and E can be eliminated because they feature "vocal tracts" as the subject. The correct subject must be "Neanderthals" in order to make the remainder of the sentence make logical sense.

A commits a pronoun agreement error. "Those" refers back to the singular "vocal tract."

The correct answer is B.
