I can't tell whether knewton will improve your verbal score from X to Y, but what I can say from my own experience is that knewton provides a good suite of problems and things to work with for both Q and V. What make them difference in the first place is that they offer you a adaptive school book(concept queue), which will show what concepts 'you' will have to practice.

Another thing about knewton is that they are very helpful within the organization, you can always hit them with a question by either e-mail, or post it as a office hour question and it will be treated in class room.

Can someone compare MasterGMAT and Knewton? Both seem to be based on similar adaptive technology. I am curious to know.
Google "GMAT Pill"<--really helpful, worth checking out--especially for RC passages.
e-gmat SC: Never thought it would be fun learning SC.
India School Fund: Education through Innovation - A HBS start-up.

cheers!
As we have discussed many times,Knewton is a "wholesome course". It gives guidelines of "what" are the topics tested on GMAT.

My recipe for 700+ is Knewton +e-gmat +CRbible+Loads of LSAT RC passage.
+Grockit.(quants+SC) +6MGMAT test+ GMAT prep+OG(all 3)That is suffice to get 770!!

Knewton as such is superb when it comes to presentation of the study material.
Knewton's Verbal study material is really good.SC On demand videos are just too good.

Thumb's up for Knewton!!

Just now till Jan 31 , they have slashed down their prices to 50%
