From 1) if BQ = CR = DS = AP . The angle subtended by both the lines to the side of the square would be the same. Hence their lengths would be the same. Also we aren't asked the length, but we can say PQ=RS - Suff
2) Perimeter is given, can't infer anything about PQ and RS. - Insuff
Could u please explain the 1st one a little bit more?
i dont think i know this concept :/
From the diagram in the attachment the lines PQ and RS are diagonals to rectangles of similar dimensions (Width=A-2X, Length =A), where A = side of the square and X = BQ = CR = DS = AP
Thanks. From this we can get A.. But i doubt if i will be able to come up with this in the real exam

If OA is A, IMO B
If OA is B, IMO C
If OA is C, IMO D
If OA is D, IMO E
If OA is E, IMO A
FML!! :/
