Davy03,

Man sorry to hear that you did not get your targeted score, but I do feel you should go for it and it will be easier to for you improve on Quant.

Yes, I will retake in a month or two. This time, I will come late and make sure I am the last student to take the test. I will also try to improve and to reach the 800 level. This is still my goal.

Anyway, I can confirm you that MGMAT CAT is excellent training. I improved my verbal score thanks to MGMAT CATs. After MGMAT CAT 4, something changed in my head. Actually, I believe MGMAT CATs enable to improve quickly (more quickly than GMAT Prep in my opinion) thanks to the very clear and detailed explanations. I am planning to redo all MGMAT CATs before retaking the actual GMAT!

I guess you will take the actual GMAT in a few days. I hope to hear good news from you soon.

Yeah I am also hoping for the best, my Gmat prep II score put me in doubts I got only 620 but apparently i made lots of silly mistakes but later on again when i took the MGMAT cat 6 and then retook the GMATPREP 2 scores were good 680 and 710 (Q50 V36) . But noticed quite few questions repeated. My target is 670-690 hopefully i can get there.

Also one question for you. How was the actual gmat was it in line with GMATPREP ? I mean was RC was more diffcult? Were CR questions similar OG samples, or CR questions are tougher than that? How about Quant and SC were questions harder than GMATPREP

The actual GMAT was very similar to GMATPREP. Actually the quant questions were easier than usual, but that is because I totally screwed up the beginning of the section since I could not focus because of the noise. So I kept making mistakes and the GMAT kept throwing easy questions.

The verbal section was definitly in line with GMAT PREP. I finished it within the time limit. (Well, with 17 seconds to spare actually) There was nothing special. I got 4 reading comprehension passages, 3 shorts passages and 1 long passage. I think I got all RC questions right.

The sentence correction questions from this day even seem easier than those of GMAT PREP. They were very usual: comparisons (like/as/such as), parallelism (either... or), subject verb agreement, etc.

CR questions were easy to understand. I got 2 or 3 questions asking for the role of the two portions in boldface (I like those). The other questions were all very usual: weaken/strenghten/find the assumption/draw a conclusion questions.

That's good to hear.. I am kind worried my SC and CR has never been my strength. I don't know why SC hit rate has gone done past week. I use to be around 90% but now it seems like it around 60%. My RC is OK i get somewhere around 2 or 3 questions wrong. I aim is to get somewhere around 35 to 36 on verbal with 49 Quant hopefully I get there.

I scored 710, 770 on the prep software, and 740 in the actual test.
what i see in this problem is a lot of quetiones in the prep software are those you have previously met before, and that inflated your score in a large part and saved you a lot of time. But when i take the real test, I only came across one quantative question that I met during practice, and the over all pace is much lower than the practice test. That's why I felt terrible the minute I finished the real test. and I was surprised when the score pop up.
I reckon you to draw some fresh new questions and do it again, which wil render you a more vivid, and convincing experience of the real test.

Thanks for your suggestions lucanoe I am not that concerned with quant, I am hoping that i should be able to score somewhere around 48-49 based on my performance on MGMAT I am more worried about my verbal.. I scoring well on GMAT PREP but as you said many questions are repeated and that's does not reflect the accuracy. But the good thing is that RC passages are new and I am doing good on them and I really worried about my SC hit rate on GMAT prep is not that great for the new questions, which really scares me I am hoping that I can get my target of 670 or so hope that I don't ever have to take this exam again.
