The Beat The GMAT team liked this video so much we've been in touch with the students who put it together. Before you read what Michael, one of the creative bunch behind the video, had to say about his experience, we highly encourage you to check out this video:

It's been a great first week seeing this video get out there and hearing all of the positive feedback from all the viewers. This video was part of an assignment for my Social Media Marketing Strategy class, but it didn't feel like "homework" to me. It was a lot of fun coming up with the concept, getting the student body to contribute tweets, and then dusting off my video editing skills.

I would say this video itself is the perfect expression of a #WhyCBS answer. I came to Columbia to try new things and test my limits. One of my biggest regrets about completing a Math and Econ double major at a small liberal arts college, was that I didn't spend enough time pushing myself in areas outside my concentrations. When I applied to Columbia Business School, I was looking for a school not only with a strong core curriculum, but also with a vast assortment of diverse electives and opportunities. Sure enough, when I had the opportunity to get exemptions from a few core classes that I had previous knowledge of, I immediately replaced them with this class on Social Media and another called Systematic Creativity in Business - and couldn't be happier!

Now I know my goals as an aspiring entrepreneur may be very different from those on the fast track to Bain or Goldman Sachs, but I find our co-existence in Columbia Business School to be a crucial part of the experience. We all have something unique to add to any conversation. We all have our own #WhyCBS to tweet...
