can someone tell me an easy way to find the hundredth digit in (321)^4 without doing crazy calculations?

you can check it with 21 if you want
21x21 = 441
441 x 441 = 194481

The question asks for the hundredth digit,which should be the third one from right

If my mind serves me correctly, the hundredth digit is on the right side of the decimal. So in 123.456, the hundredth digit is 5. The hundreds is 1. So the hundredth digit in your question would be 0.
