Hi,

My name is Jean-Baptiste, and I have hard time deciding which program to apply to between a 2-year MiM at LSE versus a 1-year Msc In management, Organisation and Governance.

Here is what I want from LSE :

- Get in there
- Learn Management
- Get a a job in Management consulting

My profile is :

- Senior in a B.A of Economics at Sorbonne University. Ranked in top 10 percents for the last 2 years
- Enrolled in an exchange program between Sorbonne University and Baruch College, City University of New York. Currently studying in New York.
- GMAT : 630 (I know it is quite low)
- President of a large student organization in 2012-2013, 4 summer jobs in a row American in summer camps, the last year with a position of director (= Manager)
- I plan to apply in the next 2 weeks

My questions are :

- Is the 2-year MiM more selective than the other 1-year MSc in Management ?
- Do I have a chance to get accepted in the 2-year Master In Management from LSE ?

Thank you for your time and consideration,
Jean-Baptiste

At LSE, the MSC in Management Sciences is more quantitative than the Master's in Management degree. If you wish to enter Management Consulting, I would choose the MiM as most strategy consulting companies are represented on the Career page of the MiM program (https://www.lse.ac.uk/management/program ... sions.aspx). However, per the FAQ, candidates who have a UK prior degree with a 2:1 result or better need not submit a GMAT or GRE test. There is no minimum score but candidates should aim to achieve 680 or higher for the total GMAT score and for both verbal and quantitative components of the GRE test.

Best of luck,
