could anyone help me out ? i got low score in gmat 620 (Q 49 V 26 ) . my first gmat was 680 (49 33) was this fluke ?

in verbal , through the exam , after 25th question i got easier questions . was my score decided on the basis of first 20 questions ?.

or i did a mistake everytime i was presented a moderate or tough problem . because what i felt was one mistake costed me 4 -5 questions needed 4 -5 questions to come to the level again .

if this is true then your response to 3-4 tough questions would decide the fate even mid way through the exam . there is no chance of recovering after 23-25 questions .

guys who have got high score in verbal please comment . because i went in the exam with the view that even verbal is like maths , if you stick to the basics every question could be correctly answered . or there is some fundamental weakness that i am not able to catch the problems ( harder ones)

b-schools only consider the higher score, so you will be able to post your 680 as the one to use. While schools will receive all your scores, they will "throw out" all but the highest score.
