GIVEN: last year Joe grew 1 inch

GIVEN: Sally grew 200 percent more than Joe grew.
200% of 1 = 2 inches

So, Sally grew 2 inches more than Joe grew
So, Sally's growth = 1 inch + 2 inches = 3 inches

Answer: D
