If you have been prescribed medication for a valid diagnosis, then yes, you should take your meds. I'd be very careful about taking things you're not really supposed to take, though. I know people who got hopped up on caffeine before the test, thinking it would give them lots of energy, and it affected their concentration on the test badly. I once had so much caffeine before an organic chemistry exam in college that, for about half an hour, I couldn't read my textbook easily. The words were swimming before my eyes!
