Select the logical inference from the following statements:

At a sales seminar, a survey shows that 20% of the people attending sell only large refrigeration units and 50% of people sell only small refrigeration units. Upon leaving, 60% of the total attendees sign up to attend the next seminar.

(A) More than half of attendees at this seminar sell both large and small refrigeration units.
(B) At least half of all attendees at the next seminar will be people who sell large refrigeration units only.
(C) At least one person who attended this seminar and sells only small refrigeration units has signed up to attend the next seminar.
(D) At the next seminar, there will be more people who sell small refrigeration units only than large refrigeration units only.
(E) The next seminar will probably have more attendees than this seminar.

IMO C
let total =100, then 50 sell small, 20 sell large and thus remaining 30 sell both.
60 sign up for next
a)30 is not more than half of 100. wrong
b)we are neither given how much % of small sell have registered and nor how much % of large sell have registered. so can't say
c) as 60 people have signed for next, and only 50 people are there who don't sell only small, thus atleast 10 people who sell small only have registered. Correct
d) can't say
e) no information given.

First, to reach the answer i should make following assumptions
1.The sale is just refrigerator sale.
2.30% of attendees sell both small and large refrigerators.

Even if first assumption is considered, 2nd cannot be assumed

Y should i make the above assumptions.

What do u say?

Always infer little is applicable here.

I am a bit confused with this one.Involves some math. However i was able to pick the right answer.

even if u don't make the assumption that rest 30 people sell both large and small, then also answer will be same.
And also if they sell something else say iphone, then also you will get same answer :)

Yup.You are right ! I interchanged small(20) and large(50) while calculating.
