Guys,

Now that I have done some R&D on GMAT algorithm. I will be posting my snapshots of various combinations of test taking methods on Verbal portion in GMAT prep.

Plz do state what WOULD have been my scaled score in verbal.

Here I go!!

Why this game?? This will help us to understand what really happens in the backend of the software!! Plz do participate in the game...

Total Incorrect-14

1-10 - 4

11-20 - 5

21-30 - 3

31-41 - 2

Score -> 28 - 31

5 pairs of two consecutive mistakes.In these mistakes,there may be 2 pairs of 2 consecutive RC wrong answers.If so the score ll be further reduced.

Awesome Anand!!

Scaled verbal score is 28

Now the understanding is even though I have made just 5 mistakes in last 20, the first 9 mistakes in 20 has screwed up my score.

I really tried hard to get this point.

There were many testtakers who were "doubting" my analysis, hope they believe this!!

Plz see the below snap shot. This one has scaled score of "[spoiler]34"[/spoiler]In first 20 I have just 4 mistakes .

I shall post my inferences soon!!

@PKIT

Plz share the snap shot so that it will easy for us to DECIPHER the backend algorithm...

@Anand..ask someone who can get 45 in verbal ..so tat we can be sure what we should do in real test..

Once we know the methods of HOW to get 42+..we should just follow them and move on...

I recorded all my result in an XLS file. I have some video files, but as you see print screen takes black screen instead of questions. I cant post here wmv file. I cant send you by e-mail one as an example of 34 score.

But why my detailed breakdown per sections is not good?

Guys,

I did 9 incorrect in verbal ..scaled score is 40

14 incorrect scaled scaled is 28

13 incorrect scaled score is 34

And now I need some more data to make solid analysis..plz pitch in ...

But onething,, people who said "First questions have more importance" are REALLY correct!! This is 100000% correct!!

Interesting analyses guys....here are a few of my verbal test scores that i remember (GMATPrep of course)

5 incorrect - 45
5 incorrect - 44
1 incorrect - 48
1 incorrect - 47

sorry don't really remember the break up of question types
