CR stragies: jogging down diagrams?

by Ancientmtk » Wed Jul 16, 2008 7:55 pm
In the Manhattan prep book, it suggests that we make diagrams, or paraphrases, of the CR passage.

My question is, for those who do well on CR passages do you guys do anything similar to this or not at all? If so, what are some ways to shorten the time of writing and to make concise paraphrases?

Hi there,

Every test prep method suggests slightly different strategies, and you have to go with what works for you. I can only really comment on the Veritas strategies, as that is what with I am most familiar. We recommend limiting use of scratch paper on CR questions. They are relatively short, so if you are having trouble remembering most of the points in these, you will most likely run into bigger trouble in RC.

Most of the notes we make on CR questions diagram the logic. This helps test takers isolate the important points in order to be able to spot logic patterns and flaws in logic.

Hope that helps!
