Awesome advice - all students need to embrace this.

Cheers,

I have a problem with your post. Q50, V51 should convert to an 800 on the real GMAT any day. How come you got Q50, V51 and did not cry out about getting a 790 instead of an 800?

I twice got a 790 with 51 points in each section. 51 does not necesarily mean perfect!

Kevin, thanks for clarifying. I didn't think the algorithm exhibited that strange behavior at the very high end of the scoring range, but apparently, it does. I got a 790 on GMATprep with Q50, V49 so I was almost certain Q50, V51 would be an 800.

Sometimes Q50 V51 converts to 780, so don't feel too hard done by. FANTASTIC score!

If I got Q51, V51 I would have been surprised if I hadn't received an 800 (though as Kevin says, sometimes even Q51, V51 doesn't get you 800). But with Q50 I wouldn't have expected 800. Have to admit I'm a little mad at myself for not getting Q51.

You said you bought princeton review, kaplan, manhattan gmat, official guide. Did you buy the complete set of books from these or just some specific books? I got that you bought mgmat complete strategy guide. What about others? I am waiting so bad in verbal. Can't score above 25 in practice tests. Can you please advice in detail the strategy to follow? waiting got your reply.
