I am in MLT (which is taking up my life) and for this month's assignment we had to research the profession we want to go into. I want to get into asset management but every single job posting I read, wanted a person with a masters (oftentimes a PHd) in a quant related field. Is it still possible to break into this field without an advanced quant degree?

Yes, it is absolutely possible to have a career in asset management with an MBA. If the firms/positions you are most interested in seem to require an advanced "math" degree, I would just be mindful of this while pursuing an MBA an focus on your statistics courses and the more rigorous quant courses (to help you understand derivatives, create financial instruments, conduct meaningful analyses, etc.).

Traditional business school will give you a better skill set for some of the asset management roles and larger firms will still do the bulk of their recruiting on MBA campuses.
