You must understand this if the answer to the question, "Is A an odd integer" is no, it does not mean that A is an EVEN integer; A can be a fraction too.
Let's see each statement one by one.
(1) B is not an odd integer.
=> B can be EVEN or a fraction.
We do not have any information about A. Insufficient.
(2) A + B is an odd integer.
Case 1: Say A = 1 and B = 2, then A + B = 1 + 2 = 3, an odd integer. The answer is Yes.
Case 2: Say A = 1/2 and B = 1/2, then A + B = 1/2 + 1/2 = 1, an odd integer. The answer is No. Insufficient.
(1) and (2) combined
Both the cases discussed above are applicable even after combining the two statements. Insufficient.
