u should simplify the equations u get by solving the statements...
remember that knowing 2 distinct equations guarantees sufficiency..
statement1)
xy/(x+y) = 2/3x
after simplifying, we get
y=2x
insufficient
statement 2)
y= 2x
insufficient
together, the statements are the same, Hence insufficient
