there refers to a place which makes no sense here. so left only with C.

but i want to get clear the use of pronoun one vs it

MGMAT says: One indicates single, indefinite part of a collection.
where as it indicates definite selection of an entire object.
so if we are refering to any random thing from a list of things we can use ONE
and if we are refering to one specific item from a group we use IT.
is that so?
if any one has any GMAT question which tests the ONE pronoun issue, please let me knw, so that i can try tht.

does age of people means..for suppose.. people belonging to age 1510-1590 AD?

'to realize' in C does not serve the purpose - meaning this sentence does not warrant the use of infinitive 'to realize', which is used to highlight the intention

Only Op A and Op B has this thing... the realization is a proper noun parallel to one legacy

B/w Op A and Op B..i applied the logic that in non underlined portion sentence uses "appeal to people" and same is the case in Op B...hence B

A NOUN cannot be parallel to an INFINITIVE

Moreover if u already know this concept

A standard noun can be || -ing of NOUN but both cannot be || -ing form

example: The release of || The releasing of

but both of them cannot be parallel to Releasing (gerund)
