given W/C = 5/2 so C = 2W/5

stmt 1) says C/M = 5/11 => C = 5M/11

2W/5 = 5M/11 => M= 22W/25 Not Sufficient

stmt 2) W < 30 Not Sufficient

Both stmts together are sufficient

we know M = 22W/25 and M and W has to be a whole numbers the only number below 30 that is divisible by 25 is 25 so W = 25 hence M = 22

so answer is C

IMO A

Given
W: c = 5 : 2 = 25: 10

From A
c: m = 5 : 11 = 10 : 22

So w: c:m = 25: 10: 22 which cannot be minimized further

So no . of men = 22

A

The answer is definitely C.
The first Statement gives us the proportion of m to c AND to W, but no number limits
The second Statement gives us the number limit of up to 30.

Yes indeed

We reach a Proportion 25 : 10 : 22 which cannot be divided further . So there has to be 22 men. we get this info from A .. The information given B is not required to arrive at this conclusion

Any Inputs on this???

But there could be 44 men.

What is a Data Sufficiency question doing in Problem Solving section? I am sure you must have posted unintentionally ;-)
