Wow. I really am an idiot for not failing to notice that "In his work" was underlined too. That should make D the right answer.

I am between D and E but would opt D finally.

D) George Santayana's work is more reminiscent of
(E) George Santayana's work more resembles that of

D -> His work is more reminiscent of Plato's work and David's work

E -> His work more resembles that of Plato's and David's work

-> verb "is" is not needed when we say His work resembles (it is notHis work 'is" resembling)
-> that of Plato's "or" David's would be appropriate or to say other way, it should have been == His work more resembles those of Plato's and David's..

correct me if i am wrong

this is a easy one...the biggest error in the org sentence is the comparison...the org sentence makes an illogical comparison between George and Plato's work...option D rectifies that error by comparing George's work to Plato's work...you can also point out the more X than Y idiom...but thats the case with the org sentence as well..so if you picked the idiom error u'll definitely make an error of judgment...

All said and done , Sc is the soul of gmat verbal..if you crack it, your job is half done...its way simpler than CR and RC....saves time...gets you easy points..!

D is my choice.

(A) In his work, George Santayana is more reminiscent of
George Santayana can't resemble poetic narratives or obsessive detailing. Only his work can resemble

(B) George Santayana writes more like
G.S can't write like narratives. His writings can be like narratives.

(C) George Santayana reminds one more of
G.S poem should remind plato's and david's work and not G.S himself

(E) George Santayana's work more resembles that of
It should be: G.S's work more resembles Plato's work and David's work.
THAT OF here doesn't has any refferent.

What is the OA?
