I contacted on the e-mail address mention in the Information Bulletin,offered by GMAT. You can access this bulletin on mba.com.
Thanks Rishab!

So they cancelled your previous score right?

Nope,as far as I think.

Because the retake appears on my profile page @mba.com as a third appointment.

I don't care whether it shows as 3rd retake as long as I can get my desired score,because I have the proof to show the admissions committee that my second score is not a valid one.Otherwise,why would GMAC offer me a free retake? right

@Moto2688:

What I had meant was verbal practice from GMATprep exams.

Normally, you will not see a guy going from V40 level back to V22 on the next attempt (permitted he has sustained that level over a number of mock tests) in a GMATprep.

What is happening here is something similar.I can agree maybe of dropping to V35 or V 34..yeah possible, but a V24-V22 with the difficulty level you are telling, makes one wonder about any addition of 'research focused' questions there.

Normally people confess of a very very hard verbal only when they have scored a Q51 --99% percentile in their Quant section. Otherwise it is noticed that verbal is generally at par with GMATprep, or maybe a bit harder.

I don't want to counteract your reasoning, but I have seen and read so many analysis - we cannot judge a question to be hard...this is a truth...GMAC scales the question on the basis of sampling an experimental question, and before deciding the right level of the question - probably after a particular question may be tested on 10000 test takers and even if you read Ron's comment on MGMAT forums- that scale or level of question is at the discretion of GMAC, and not our job to decide,

What you may think is difficult - may not be difficult on the exam.

I have seen so many questions at 600 level in GMATPrep - that may seem complex, but they are just normal questions presented in a creative way.
@ Aspire_MBA2013

Multiple errors on SC, Bold Face and Method of Reasoning on CR, and Long passages on the RC are all indicators of the level of difficulty on the exam. Now the fact is there are no different ways that these question subtypes can be asked. Had it been regular weaken or strengthen questions or regular verb tense questions then I could understand your argument but when these specific subtypes come through I don't understand the logic quite well.

I am not sure what to think off, but I will follow up with the GMAC and Pearson Vue and update you guys on it.

@Moto2688:

Ok...understood now what you were hinting at previously.That 'every' question was sort of like an 800 one!...wow really cant say what was happening then..usually there is a mix across all levels not all questions become 800 level from the start :|

@Aslan

nevermind buddy - I guess you did not understand my point. Another point to note - please go through the GMAT 2010 letter available online and you will understand how there is "NOT A MIX" but a "Step by Step Graduation" to the next question. I can also not digest the fact that I got some hard questions so early on in the Verbal section. Now if I go by your logic then I think I should have done wonderfully well on the Quant and if that is the case then all the more reasons to doubt my quant score as well. I have written to Veritas as well, lets see what comes out of that as well.

Thanks to everyone here for sharing the information! I really appreciate it!

@Moto2688:

:).....By 'mix' I meant that you will generally see some research question of varying degrees mixed in with the actual level you are at.Of course your level goes on increasing as you answer the harder ones.But in your case it looks as something was not adapting from the beginning or whatever that was wrong with the algo!

Hey Bhavesh,

That is almost a 100 point drop same as my score. I am not sure as to what is happening. How did you feel on the Verbal section? Did you get a feeling that you were doing ok or similar to your test prep exams or gmat prep exams?

I am not sure as to whats happening, could be the research section messing up the algorithm. Have you written to GMAC or Pearson Vue?

Looking at the current state of affairs I am thinking of postponing my GMAT date until later.

Does any GMAT expert/instructor has any clue about what is happening?

Thanks in advance for your replies.{Urgently needed}
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

You should also write to the candidate services email id - I heard back from them and I am still awaiting a response from GMAC i.e. the e-mail id above.

I wrote to GMAC and they gave me an incident number. They said they will get back to me when they'll reach to a conclusion. I see "Delivery Successful - On hold" as my GMAT appointment status (which I took on 20th nov).

Can someone help me with decoding this status? What does this mean? I am waiting eagerly since GMAC's conclusion will decide my retake.
Thanks
