My 680 may not be considered very high by everyone in this group, but I spent about 3 weeks or so, 2 of which I had to study for another test. Heck, I bought 2 books to qualify for free shipping but only got around to opening one

Very happy with results especially in this time frame.

For me I assessed the two areas that need the most help (SC, and math DS) and worked tirelessly on those.

It can be done, you can turn around scores quickly!!!

I am on the west coast, so I am targeting USC, UCLA, Haas

My grades are not great. But I have very good work experience and letters of rec, etc.

Not sure if my grades will end chances of high end east coast schools

Not sure what OG is.

I used the official guide, along with the supplementary official verbal and quant guides.

I picked up a princeton review book just to get some theory on the typed of questions that I wanted to work on. (Sentence correction and Quant)

The sentence correction theory helped immensely. Idiom memorization, and the theory of analyzing the answers first etc.

Quant for tricks to working out problems quickly, and pacing. Also methods for breaking down the Data sufficiency quickly.

I ignored AWA, RC and the critical reasoning, as I felt those were more common sense and that the other areas adressed could be remedied easier in such a short time.

Lots of drilling, flash carding, and many problems. I took the official practice test the day i decided i was taking the gmat. Then 2 princeton review tests in the next two weeks, followed by the second official test 2 days before the real thing.

Obviously this is not the recommended way to prepare, but if you have a very short time try it.

If you only have 2 or 3 weeks, IMO it is silly to try and bring up scores in every category. Focus on what can be improved the most.

I am very happy with the score, but also somewhat disappointed. I feel like if I had 6 months like many people I could have got to the mid 700's

How many hours in 2 weeks did you invest?

About 25 hours of study, not including the practice exams
