First attempt G prep Need Advice!!!!!

by dv2020 » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:21 pm
I took the first attempt of the GMAT prep yesterday.
I was shocked by my verbal performance V29(16 incorrect)
I am uploading an excel sheet with an analysis of my performance. I would be grateful if members and some of the experts can take out some time to help me improve in the verbal section. I don't have too much time I have to appear(if I do this year) in the next 3 weeks.

Some of the things I have learnt from the analysis are:

1. I got 4 wrong in the top 10 I think that proved fatal.
2. My CR and RC performance are not as bad as I initially thought. I got 6 wrong on SC so that means still a lot of work still needs to be done in SC.

waiting to hear from you all......

Thanks

How did you get an analysis report??
In CR, you need to clear your concepts regarding support the argument, weakens the argument....

How did you get that report? Did you take a note of it aside in an excel or did you get it after the test? I have not used my GMATprep test yet.
If I am wrong correct me :), If my post helped let me know by clicking the Thanks button ;).

dv,,error logging is good, when I first gave the gmat prep i got a verbal 31, I gave the gmat 19 days after that and got a V 34 on the real thing, and i had worked my @$$ out for that improvement, if u are looking to improve from 29 to anywhere to 35-36 do extensive error tracking and reviewing,

quality over quantity, I learned it the hard way after failing(IMO) in the real gmat-1, u still have time, try to reach 35 at least, its still possible in 3 weeks
Cheers !!

As bblast said, Quality over quantity. Tracking the mistakes correcting is the key :)

First of all nice work tracking down all those errors.
Now you can review all the concepts where you answered wrong.
And quick review of correct one also.
You can easily reach 35 if you concentrate and work smart :D
