Hi, can someone help me with this. I got it right, but now that I’m redoing it I’m getting conflicting results!

Here’s the question:

Did it take Pei more than 2hrs to walk a distance of 10miles along a certain trail (1 mile = 1.6km, rounded to the nearest tenth).

1)Pei walked this distance at an average rate of less than 6.4km/hr
2)On average, it took Pei more than 9minutes per km to walk this
distance

Question stem (translation): Is T>2hr? (or is Rate less than 5mph?)

stmt 1: 6.4km==4miles
==>walking 10miles at less than 4mph mean T will be greater than 2.5hr. (also to answer question, R is less than 5 mph & T is greater than 2)
sufficient

Stmt2: (I can’t seem to translate this the right way. Each answer I get doesn't give me the same result as stmt 1)

first I tried to convert 9min/km (9min= 3/20hr; 1 km = 5/8miles)
==> so rate > 6/25 m/hr (this is where I started to get confused….did I convert wrong?)
if I plugged this rate in, then T< 250/3hr, which is clearly NS. But the answer is D, so I must've miscalculated.

Thanks

2h .... 10miles?
2h .... 16km?

a) Speed <6.4km/h
18/6.4=2.5h
T>2.5h

enough info to solve

b) >9min*16km = >144 min => >2.4h

enough info to solve

Correct answer: D

If you want to calculate speed for b:

10 miles / [(9*16)/60] = 4.2 miles / hour; if you increase the 9min per km your speed gets even slower
