Need help creating a good solid study plan

by meldog021 » Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:27 pm
Hey ALL,

I am taking the GMAT at the end of August... so I have about 9 weeks to prepare. Some days i feel good about my studies then other days i feel soo blah and unfocused... I NEED SOME DIRECTION folks.

I suck in math... I just need some advice, tips, support something.
Please offer some direction. I am shooting for a 650. I took a practice test and that was a total and complete joke... i feel intimidated by this whole test AAHHHH HELP!!!

Thanks =)

I think people use prep courses wrong. Its as if they expect the prep course to be a magic bullet. I have never taken one because I think that if you have the discipline then you won't really need the course, but while you still have access to the instructor really use him as the resource and not their study materials. I would say attempt to study 4 hours a day just on quant. Go through problems and when you get to something that you don't understand ask the instructor about it. That is the best way to use that class. Also, use study materials outside of what they give you. MGMAT and EZ Solutions have a good reputation on this site, so look into getting some of their quant books and hopefully you can go through them before your class is up so you can have the instructor answer any questions that you have because once you get stuck on something you will wish you still had access to him instead of having to hope that someone on a message board can solve the problem and also explain it in a way that you would understand. Hope that helps.
