Just got an email from them saying that the interview invites will be sent out to 200+ applicants early next week. Phew, my heart-rate skyrocketed as I was opening up that email

Early next week.. mmm.. Monday around the same time? Worst case - it'd be Tuesday.

I think my heart just about fell out of my chest when I saw I had an email from HBS. Unfortunately... more waiting.

yeah i almost had a heart attack today.

do you think 2+2 is going to limit applicants at each university (obvi not at harvard to some extent, but at other schools like cornell or nyu?)

My guess would be yes. Ensuring diversity within the class extends to school diversity as well.

I think I'm more nervous now... when it was just late July there wasn't any specific date to think about. I'm not going to be able to concentrate on Monday (or Tuesday if we don't hear until then)

Oh well, at least I have lots to do this weekend, keep myself distracted

Good luck to all!

hey all - I just found out about this forum today - after going through the exact same heart-attack-mode as juyau800 above >.<" anyway, it's good to see there's an active 2+2 community! wish I had found out about this before turning in the app.

as means of introduction, here's my profile. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Type of Student: Int'l student in US, asian female
Undergrad Institution: HYP
Major(s): Molecular and Cell Biology
Minor(s): Economics
Overall GPA: 3.84 (tanked by a crappy freshman year)
Position in Class: top 10%

GRE/GMAT Scores:
Q: 800
V: 800
W: 6.0

Awards/Honors/Recognitions: a couple of int'l writing awards from freshman year / high school, otherwise not much else, sadly.

Pertinent Activities or Jobs: 3 summers of biology research in different areas/countries, two years of genetics research, president of biology society, on exec mgmt team of int'l undergrad science magazine, peer tutoring, scriptwriting for local theatre troupe (which sounds kinda random, but was actually the basis for one of my essays haha)

Any Miscellaneous Accomplishments that Might Help: uhh... I know 3 + 2*0.5 languages? (0.5 being Japanese and Cantonese, which I'm slooowly teaching myself).

All in all I think I'm a fairly unusual candidate (no business background or extracurriculars that scream interest in business explicitly), so I'm not that optimistic about chances. A lot of profiles on this thread are amazing though, and I look forward to congratulating y'all!

Hi folks,

I did not check my emails daily before I read here that everybody received an update from HBS on July 16.

Then, I checked my email, but found this:

Server Error
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Reading through the posts. I realize it is a pre-interview notification email.

I am wondering if someone may post the email here.

Do they finish reviewing all the applications?

Thank you for the information.

Phylori,

Congratulations on your amazing GRE score! True, you have an unusual profile and I think that is your best selling point. My understanding is that HBS is looking for scientists/engineers etc. So, wish you the best!

The weekend will be fun!

Hi folks,

I was in a coma like you guys. I wonder how it would be when the actual e-mail comes in a few days (hopefully hbs will save me the trouble and write a clear headline like "accept" or "reject"). Wow phylori, your profile almost gave me another heart attack! Awesome. Good luck to all. I really do wish to see you guys in person.

Hi folks,

I am experiencing difficulty reviewing emails from the HBS.

All emails, including previous daily reminders, had the same below information:

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

I asked the Admissions and they replied by claiming this is a technical issue. So I emailed Applyyourself Tech, hoping they can fix that for me soon before HBS sends out interview early next week.

However, I am wondering if someone else had experienced the same situation.

It is already an intense weekend.

So frustrated!

that sucks! =/ the email was:

Dear XYZ:

Thank you for submitting your application to the HBS 2+2 Program -- here's an update on the selection process.

Early next week we will be sending interview invitations (via email) to 200+ applicants. All interviews take place on campus between August 17-23. Candidates not invited to interview will receive notification of their status at that time as well.

Please note that while we are unable to provide individual feedback to candidates not invited to interview, general advice will be posted on the 2+2 Program link on the HBS website.

Thank you for your interest in Harvard Business School.

Best,

Deirdre Leopold

p.s. rattler and comiskie - y'all are too kind ^^;; hopefully we get a chance to meet at the interview or something! =) *crosses fingers*

Hi phylori

Thank you so much for your post, both the email and your personal profile.

Clearly, you have a nice chance to be interviewed as we review your statistics.

Good luck, everyone!!!

Despite the result, I believe this has been an extremely fulfilling process.

Not only my fingers, but my feet crossed as well!
