Doing focused RC practice is the best way I have improved a bit in this game. Skimming through passages, focusing on the first para and then focusing on the first and last sentence of every subsequent para is very helpfulneha.gar wrote:True..experiencing the same thing..been able to improve rc but not so much..still trying hard though to improveashok27 wrote:I've a lil different opinion here. I think RC is very difficult to improve. One develops his reading habits and breadth of knowledge on different areas over a long period of time. Am I saying practice doesn't help? It does. But it can help you go from say 60% to 70-80% accuracy but not from 40% to 80%.neodante wrote:
RC is all about practice. I did OG13 and Aristotle RCs and I think i did a total of around 60-70 passages. This doesn't include the ones i did during the practice tests. So i think practice works in RC.
Functions questions are not very difficult- ask yourself "Why" and for inference questions, ask yourself "What" and you should be able to get them correct

Does reading a particular type of material on particular subjects help? For example, I am not comfortable with social science passages that can become very complicated to understand at times. How should i become more confident in these type of passages? Do more passages or read more material from different sources?sameer.pinto wrote: Doing focused RC practice is the best way I have improved a bit in this game.
