Hi everyone,
I applied to Berkeley Haas R1 (Oct. 13th) as a reapplicant and received an invitation to interview Dec. 8th. I really thought that I wasn't going to receive an interview since most other schools notified me of an interview approximately a month after submission. I was ecstatic to learn when I did receive an interview.
My stats:
28 years old
740 GMAT
3.5 GPA from highly ranked public university
Information Science B.S., graduated honors and distinction
6 years WE at pharmaceutical industry, technology and project management
1.5 years WE at healthcare social enterprise
Target industry and function: healthcare entrepreneur
I haven't interviewed yet but will be interviewing with an alumna locally. I plan to prep with a former student and just rehearse plenty of times why Haas and why mba.
At this point, I'm waiting for a few other schools to return results but I'm very excited to receive an interview at Haas!
I thought Haas was one of the harder written applications because of the amount of essays and breadth of questions asked. When I reapplied, I redid all my essays to show them my commitment for the school. I think that paid off. I'm more than happy to talk offline to anyone about my strategies and experiences throughout this process.
Good luck everyone!
