got 700 (Q51 V33) Shall i retake ??

i just gave the gmat today and got a 700. Got a good score in quant but got a dismal 33 in verbal . I am trying to get into the top 30 b - schools. Shall i retake the exam. Will such a low score deplete my chances. I have a work experience of two years ( 3 by the time if I have a chance to join).

looking forward for your feedback .

If your TOEFL scores are strong then you might be able to get away with a 33.

If you were scoring consistently higher than 33 and if you think you can score a 36/37 then you might want to retake but bearing in mind that you could score lower in V.

If you are confident that you could do a 30 o 40 point increase, it could be a good option.
Otherwise, you could use the extra essay to say something about the verbal. With a Q51 most schools should be very interested in you.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I am also going ahead with the applications for the time being. Trying to get them in before round 2.
