The
Structure of the passage will help you in finding the location for smaller picture questions such as Inference and Literal Comprehension Questions.
The Structure of the passage works as the
Table of Content of a book.
Imagine, how difficult is to find a specfic information if you have no Table of Content of the book.
Table of content is not the summary of the book. Rather it just helps the way book is structured. Same is the case with GMAT RC passages.
