you know that median is going to average of the 10 and 11 since there are even number of data. so you'll need to find the 10th and 11th data.

You need to understand what the table is showing.

For example, it's indicating that there are 2 days of $48, 3 days of $70...

when you start listing from smallest to largest, you'll have 10th - $84 and 11th - $84... you take the average of 84.. well, you have 84.

Median is the middle number. the table shows 5 columns, which does not represent the order nor frequency.

Or you can always start listing all the numbers in order and frequency until you get to 10,11..

i.e.

48,48,70,70,70,80,80,80,80,84,84...

Here another approach..

Rewrite them from the lowest to the largest per day. ( 20 days)

48,48,70,70,70,80,80,80,80,84,84,84,84,84,84,84,96,96,96,96

the median = 84 + 84 / 2 = 84 .. Done.
