Mo2men wrote:If a certain number X is divided by 82, the reminder is 5. what is the reminder when X+11 is divided by 41?

A. 3
B. 5
C. 6
D. 16
E. 18

The easiest scenario x = 5. x + 11 = 16. 16 divided by 82 would give a remainder of 16. And we're done. D is the answer. (Anytime the denominator is greater than the numerator, the remainder is simply the numerator.)

X may be (82+5 = 87 ) , (82 * 2 +5 = 87 ) = 169 , 251.

We will take min possible value of X=87.

(x+11)/41 ==> (87+11)/41 = 98/41 = 2 16/41 ==> (Ans D.16)

Let's pick x = 82 + 5, or x = 87.

From there (87 + 11) / 41 => 98/41 => 2, with remainder 16
