GMAT Prep 2 Geometry Question

Which of the following lists the number of points at which a circle can intersect a triangle ?

a) 2 and 6 only
b) 2 , 4 and 6 only
c) 1 , 2 , 3 and 6 only
d) 1 , 2 , 3, 4 and 6 only
e) 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 and 6

Hi,

Interesting question ... Thanks !

'1' is definitely not a possibility. So, choices 3, 4 and 5 are out of the window

2: Possible - when the circle passes though side1 of a triangle

4: Possible - when the circle passes through side1 and side2 of a triangle

6: Possible - when the circle passes through side1, side2 and side3 of a triangle.

My pick would be B ... What is the OA ...

Hi Rahul,

When it says 'intersect', I thought 'touching' is not to be counted. In other words, does a side which acts as a tangent to the circle intersect the circle ...
