Hi :(

I just wonder about the importance of Years of Working Experience (YoWE).

Given that I have slightly over average GMAT say +10 from average.
Much lower average GPA....I got 2.61 from Asian university. :(

I think the GPA thing should be solved by the GMAT if I get 650++ or 700++, right?

But I have only 2-3 YoWE, while the school I want is 4-5 years.

Is it that bad to have less than average YoWE?

Please give me adivce :( :( especially about what I can do other than work more to get the average YoWE.

Dear torofish,

It is not the number of years that matters as the quality of your work experience during that time. Most schools want applicants to have at least two years at the time they matriculate into the MBA program. So if you feel you are ready for business school with 2-3 years experience, then you should apply.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thank you Lisa,

Well, can you define the quality of work experience?

Do you mean, er, 2 Years of some non managerial or entry level job
cannot compare to

2 Years of Managerial job

is it?
