I hope to see you on campus too! I had my inteview and it went really well. However, the weirdest thing happened yesterday: I got a call out of the blue from the executive director who called to tell me they loved me, but were seriously concerned about my quantative abilities based upon my performance on the GMAT. She told me that if I got into the school I would have to work extra hard and get a tutor since math wasn't my strong suit. I knew math was going to be my achilles heel for B-school. I've always had to work extra hard at it and I just didn't have the time to dedicate to the GMAT like I needed to up my quant. Grrrr....

The only thing that gave me comfort was at the end when she asked if I was ready to move across country to DC--of course I said-HELL YAH! So im keeping my fingers crossed. (:

I wish you being admitted! Just for the reference, could you share what was your quant score, that it raised serious concerns, and what is your undegraduate/work background?

If you really want to know I guess I can make all you people feel better about yourselves. My quant was 24 only 14 percentile. yucky i know. Undergrad was English lit and Political Science at UCLA. I work in local politics now--campaigns for state assembly, local ballot measures, coalition building and community organizing sort of thing.

I asked not in order to feel better :), but for other applicants to GWU to have some kind of a benchmark, if they also find themselves on the fence because of the low quant score on GMAT. That's why I asked about undegrad/work experience to see if there were other factors to balance the quants score. Apparently other parts of your application were compelling to the adcom, since you are getting some positive feedback from the school. At any rate, thank you for your candid reply. Wishing you the best with your application.

SEE YOU ON CAMPUS! I'd been checking the mail incessantly and saw nothing. Decided to look online and my admittance letter had been there since Monday! Whoo hoo. Now waiting for the actual letter to see how in debt I'm gonna be. (: So happy today!

Guys,
Did you both matriculate to GW MBA?
Are you around the campus yet?
Just curious.

Hey I just received news that I got accepted into the MBA program (class of 2014). how is your experience so far ershovici? where are you staying in DC? Everywhere is almost as expensive as it is in NYC from what I've seen so far.
