General Strategy

by adilayub » Mon Aug 11, 2008 1:36 am
Hi All,

I was just curious to know which approach is better

* Solve OG11 problems for all subject areas daily (PS, DS, CR, RC, SC)

OR

* Solve OG11 problems of one subject area daily

Look forward to your responses. Thanks in advance.

When you take the real GMAT, they're going to mix it up, so you should too. Get into a good enough groove where you're able to find and tackle weaknesses and common mistakes for one question type, then move on to the next type after you're feeling confident.

This is a good point actually. Generally, I have heard you should focus on your problem areas and this may involve looking at only SC for a day or two. However, my problem is sometimes that I forget some of what I learnt about the other question types (e.g. Quant, number properties).

Does anyone have a good strategy on how to best study for the GMAT? Let's assume that one works during the week and therefore has 3 hours to study during the week and 6 hours on the weekend.

Should one study all topics at least once a day?
