I am planning to apply for Part Time evening programs and was hoping that I would only provide the 580 score.

But if they are going to send the schools my previous attempts then I may have to retake the exam again, for this 460 to be an outlier.

Even though schools will see your second score, most schools (to my knowledge) will only take into account your highest score.

If you believe that you will improve significantly from your second attempt (or match your first score), and are set on retaking the exam, then it might be a good idea. However, if you are a little rusty in your preparation, you may want to consider contacting the schools that you're interested in to check with them on whether they're willing to overlook that second score as highly unusual performance on your part.

Thanks for the reply. Your advice is well taken. I will be contacting the schools regarding the scores.

I was hoping that since I have a very high GPA, a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from a reputed university in Chicago and 8+ years of experience (non-profit, consulting, healthcare) that this GMAT piece would be ok.
