The Application Process

According to me, MBA programs do give future entrepreneurs valuable tools to which enables them to mitigate risk and increase the probabilities of success. MBA helps to you to understand strategy, finance and marketing which can be very helpful. But you also need natural entrepreneurship traits like self-confidence, need for independence, passion, and an ability to communicate ideas, otherwise you'll struggle as an entrepreneur. So you must ensure that you pursue your MBA from a well established institute with a good course structure. It is extremely essential to keep that in mind. You must not blindly go to any institute for your MBA.

The MBA is a very expensive route to starting a company, however there are some people for whom it makes sense. (Not all the ideas presented on this thread are wholly accurate BTW.) EssaySnark recently published an MBA Career Goals Research Guide on Entrepreneurship which discusses some of the pros and the cons and helps people pitching this very ambitious goal in their business school applications. Entrepreneurship is increasingly popular among applicants to bschools but it's a very difficult goal to present convincingly in MBA apps ('cuz it's a very difficult goal to pull off!!). Lots of factors to keep in mind.

That actually depends on where exactly do you plan to study? India or abroad? I could help you accordingly..If you are planning to start up a business of your own then you must try to go abroad for an MBA as it would allow you to experience the life outside India with some good exposure as well as a great opportunity to expand your network which would surely be useful for your business in the future.

The institute is highly dependent on the place you want to study. Accordingly I could suggest you some of the best institutes. Where do you plan to go?

I think I wont mind going to Australia. I could consider USA too.

Okay then. There are quite a few institutes there for a good MBA program and also people are from diverse cultures which surely add to your global network. Few of the top b schools would be-
RMIT University, University of Melbourne, University of Notre Dame, University of Sydney and S P Jain School of Global Management in Australia whereas you have University of Texas Austin, Indiana State University, Northwest Missouri State University and City University of Seattle in US.

This is a bizarre list.

It's crazy to be suggesting schools blindly without knowing anything about the person beyond that they might want to go to the US or Australia and they are interested in starting a company. That's certainly not enough to be saying which schools to apply to.

It is very much possible. More and more business schools are emphasizing entrepreneurship. They are investing in more classes and professors who come from entrepreneurial backgrounds and even creating custom programs. There are plenty of pitch competitions where you skills will also be valued.
