So far, so good.
Duke Global EMBA: Accepted
Georgetown / ESADE Global EMBA: Dinged
SMU Cox EMBA: Accepted
Pitt Katz EMBA: Accepted
Cornell EMBA: Wait-listed
Waiting to hear from Kellogg, Booth, UNC, and Penn State
I am leaning towards Duke....slight edge over SMU at this point.
EMBA candidate - 3 for 4 thus far

Is there really a decision to be made? Kellogg is the #1 EMBA according to WSJ, BW, and USN. It is the best business program in the game bar none. How could you consider Duke, Katz, etc when you got into Kellogg.
Unless you are in Texas and want to work in energy (where SMU would make sense), I think its a no brainer.
TAKE KELLOGG!!!!
Everyone else agree?

Wow this is fantastic! Hearty congratulations
Well, actually EMBA at Duke is probably ranked higher at least as far as FT rankings go which ranks Duke's EMBA program at 10 and kellogg's at 17. Note that the Kellogg/HKUST EMBA program is ranked #1 but i think its help in HK. I may be totally off here but thats what i believe.
But anyway, if you are like me, then you wouldn't care about rankings. You made it to top schools and thats whats important. Visit the schools, talk to alums, find your fit and then make a decision!
All the best.

Did you visit IESE? I am interested in ESADE and IESE. However, I am mostly interested in the full time programs. I did not consider an EMBA (I do have several years of work experience, but feel it is not enough).
I wanted to visit the schools, but I feel this may not work (scheduling is tough). I thought about visiting in March 11 (if I got accepted).
Did you find you liked the people? I did get a question about my age (since I will be 30 at application time). I thought age was something good - since I can easily say I have worked in a variety of areas with many people!

Hi,
I am very happy on your decision on Kellog's. I went to the open house last week. Can you please
let me know if you took any professional help for the application process
Any guidance is deeply appreciated.
Thanks
Shobana

Shobauy: No professional help was used, but I can say that there is no substitute for communicating with the admissions office. If you have questions about your application status, most staffs will be able to help you one way or the other put your best foot forward - even if its not the news you want to hear. I found that Kellogg and Duke were by far the most helpful.

You are smart to think of the essays and interviews together. At this point, you should have a well-versed and detailed narrative on why you want to go to XYZ school. Us that as your theme......your "Missions Statement" if you would. And build everything around that one concept.

Shavin,
I noticed you applied to schools all over the country... EMBA are part time were you thinking to find a new job in the city where your school is at? Or do you have a job that allows you to work remote?
