I think you meant SUBJECT (doer of the sentence) - AMBITION

There are 2 nouns in the sentence - AMBITION, LOTTERY

"to win a state lottery" is a noun phrase acting as a adjective predicate here.

parsing it:

"to win" - infinitive
"a state lottery" - object of the verb in noun form.
