Hi all,

I have 6 years of experience in operations in my family business in India.
Gmat 650 .

I want to start my own company after MBA and therefore looking at schools with strong marketing programs.
through MBA I want to develop marketing skills and learn how to put things together in a new business.

I was dinged at Wharton and kellogg's after interview last year.

Can you please suggest schools with strong marketing programs ?
I am open to both US and EU schools.

Dear miamisaint,

All schools have substantial marketing coursework. However, you will see variance on industry focus or niche within marketing like brand versus marketing research. If you want to start your own company post-MBA, perhaps you should be looking at entrepreneurship programs? You will still get the strong cross-functional foundation, including marketing courses, but substantial electives in how to start, grow and manage a new enterprise.

Good luck,
Lisa

I really appreciate your prompt reply Lisa

I want to start a children's Book publishing and commercial printing company ( as I have work ex in offset book printing) and focus on upcoming economies such as Africa and south America.

Do entrepreneurship programs have electives focusing on creating global enterprises ?

If yes, which are some of the best bschools in US & EU for entrepreneurship ?

I would suggest looking at programs ranked by Entrepreneur magazine as a place to start in identifying potential MBA programs for you. From there, you can peruse their course offerings to ensure they have what you seek, like courses on building global enterprises.
