there are several questions still unanswered on the following thread:

https://www.beatthegmat.com/gmat-prep-3-t17366.html

Question asked: service error rate on services per 100 customer.

I've a following question on this problem:

1- total service error rate for services on 100 customer is given in stmt 1 - while from the question itself we can figure out the service error rate on services per 100 customer for Div A - so service error rate for B can be find out.

IMO - A

Stm - 1
From given we can calculate service error rate for serivces of Company A
and the combined error rate of Comp. A and B is given from this we can find Service error rate for serv. of comp B

Stm - 2

It states above no. of emps, but does say anything about error rate or errors

We know that A has 4850 customers in total and also has in total 86 errors in that year for A.

Error rate per 100 customers for A = 86*100/4850 -- (1)
Let the same be B/100 for division B

Now using statement 1 alone (1) + B/100=1.5/100 from which we can find B.

Statement 2 isn't sufficient.

Hence A alone.)

C

(86+B)*100/(Cust of A+ Cust of B) = 1.5
