Given w + x < 0 or w < -x. So, the question reduces to:
If -w > x, is w > y?
(1) x < -y or -x > y. We are given that -x > w and from this statement we have -x > y. But we cannot say whether w > y or not.
So, (1) is NOT SUFFICIENT.
(2) Y < X < W implies y < w or we can say that w > y.
So, (2) is SUFFICIENT.
The correct answer is
(B)
.
